about

Originally released on Beartown Records in an edition of 30 on orange-shelled cassettes with suitably meaningless artwork.:

"PETALS has been beaming skewed transmissions direct from his 'haunted industrial estate' of a mind for over 5 years now.
5 years of bewildering stereo-attack, 5 years of sea-sick tape fuzz, and 5 years of drowning in blissful distortion.

Side A is a terrifying journey through the snow-storm trenches; the wind batters your bleeding ears, and a single, ash-covered television speaks hissing nonesense (sic) on the horizon. Swirling bleep-chaos, and the endless 'crunch crunch' of tiny digital skeletons conspire to entrance and disturb. The rumblings grow louder, the squeeling (sic) quietens before all you can hear is the blood rushing around your brain. You are a melon in a trash compactor.

Ever been beaten, locked up and tortured by a gang of robotic squid? Good. No need to listen to side B then.
You know the score - metal tentacles smashing through corrigated iron, the scraping of rusty beaks on your face, and a nightmarish chorus of cephalopods crying in the pitch dark."
